FLUX.1 Kontext: AI Image Editing that actually listens
Say goodbye to the days of “just redraw the whole thing” image edits. FLUX.1 Kontext, the latest image editing model family from Black Forest Labs, is designed to bring precision, speed, and sanity to visual workflows. It lets you make targeted edits, like “make the sky sunset orange” or “change the logo text to ‘BFL’”, without breaking the rest of your image.
Instead of regenerating the whole picture or relying on awkward inpainting, Kontext uses a multimodal flow model that understands both what it sees and what you say. That means no mismatched lighting, no uncanny facial changes, just reliable, context-aware editing in under 12 seconds per step.
Take a look. In this case, I just prompted: Add long blonde hair.
Why this is important?
Simplified Workflow: Eliminates the need for complex software like Photoshop or extensive prompt engineering, making professional-grade editing accessible to non-experts.
Versatility: Works with various image types (photos, drawings, digital art) and supports applications like portrait variations, asset adaptation, or visual storytelling.
Available on Freepik, Krea, Flora, and Leonardo.
Le Chat gets revamped
Mistral AI has relaunched le Chat, its AI assistant designed to help you in all types of activities. Built on the world’s fastest Mistral models, le Chat delivers Flash Answers at up to 1,000 words per second.
Mistral has entered the emergent Agent market, where AI can not just answer prompts but work continually with a defined goal with Agents API. It offers the vast majority of its features for free (latest models, journalism, image generation, document uploads, and more).
Aaaaand, it can generate images now, powered by Black Forest Labs Flux Ultra. Told you. All AI assistants will get this feature soon. Take a look:
Prompt: A full-body, photorealistic image of a 20s Nordic woman with auburn hair in a braid, fair skin, and green eyes. Her face is realistic and warmly lit. She wears a bright orange and teal tactical explorer suit with a digital crossbow slung over her shoulder and goggles on her head. She stands in a snowy cyberpunk resistance base with holographic maps and data terminals glowing behind her.
